1. Enhanced Parcel Services
Nodal Delivery Centers: 233 centers established, covering over 1600 PIN codes, handling about 30% of daily parcel deliveries.
Parcel Hubs: A network of 190 Level-1 and Level-2 hubs facilitates faster processing and secure handling.
Technology Integration: Implementation of real-time tracking, API integration, and system-assisted sorting.
Parcel Packaging Policy: 1408 packaging units providing high-quality materials for secure transit.
Smart Booking & Delivery Kiosks: 30 Smart Parcel Delivery Kiosks and 30 Self-Booking Kiosks installed in major cities.
2. Expansion of Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras (DNKs)
In collaboration with the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), 1013 DNKs have been set up to support e-commerce exports. These centers assist small exporters, artisans, and self-help groups by offering services such as self-booking, label generation, and export documentation.
3. Core Banking and Digital Services
All post offices are now integrated with a Core Banking Solution, offering services like ATMs, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, NEFT/RTGS, ECS, and e-KYC.
India Post Payments Bank facilitates digital transactions linked to Post Office Savings Accounts.
4. Business Development Directorate’s Expanded Offerings
Post Office Passport Seva Kendra (POPSK): Postal offices now facilitate passport services nationwide.
Aadhaar Enrollment & Updation: Remote access to Aadhaar services is now available.
Verification of PMEGP Units: Assisting in government subsidy scheme verifications.
E-Post & E-Payment: Facilitating electronic message transmission and bill payments.
5. Retail & Specialized Services
Gangajal and Holy Prasadam: Distribution of religious offerings via postal services.
Media Post & Direct Post: Advertising services for businesses using postal mediums.
India Post Passenger Reservation System (IP-PRS): Select post offices now offer railway ticket reservations.
