Application Process
- Volunteers must fill out the
application form (Annexure I), completing Parts I and II. Submit it to the
Divisional Head by 10 Feb 2025.
- Divisional Heads:
- Scrutinize applications and
fill out Part IV.
- Prepare a nominal roll and
forward applications to OIC APS Records by 21 Feb 2025 with:
- Certification (Annexure
II),
- Last month’s pay slip
(certified copy),
- First page of the Service
Book (certified copy).
- OIC APS Records:
- Verify and finalize
applications.
- Inform specified ZROs/AROs
for medical examinations.
- Medical Screening:
- Conducted in Apr 2025.
- Volunteers report to
AROs/ZROs as per the specified schedule.
Eligibility Criteria
- Age: Below 40 years.
- Medical Fitness: SHAPE-1 category.
Benefits of APS Service
- Rank Structure at Enrollment:
- Asst Supdt, Posts/HSG - Subedar
- Inspector, Posts/LSG - Naib Subedar
- PA/SA - Warrant Officer
- Postman/Mail Guard - Naik
- MTS - Sepoy
- Pay Options:
- Option to choose between Civil
Pay or Army Pay, whichever is beneficial.
- Includes allowances such as
Field Service Allowance (FSA), Military Service Pay (MSP), and others.
- Career Growth:
- Assured Career Progression
(ACP) at intervals of 8, 16, and 24 years in APS.
- Opportunity for promotion
to Subedar or higher ranks, including the possibility to attend Service
Selection Board (SSB) for officer positions.
- Leave Entitlements:
- Annual Leave: 56 days +
journey period.
- Casual Leave: 30 days.

Leave as per medical recommendation.
