   • The maximum weight limit for a letter has been set at 500 grams.

2. Consolidation of Postal Categories:

   • Book Packets, Printed Books, and Sample Packets have been merged into a single category known as Book Post.

   • Book Packets containing periodicals are now renamed as Periodical Post.

3. Renaming of Parcel Services:

   • Business Parcel is now termed India Post Parcel Contractual.

   • Registered Parcel is renamed as India Post Parcel Retail.

4. Cash on Delivery (COD) Services:

   • VPP (Value Payable Parcel) is now called COD Retail.

   • VPMO (Value Payable Money Order) is renamed as CODMO.

5. Enhanced Financial Limits:

   • The limit for Electronic Money Order (EMO) has been increased to ₹10,000/-.

6. IPO Denominations Revised:

   • The denominations for Indian Postal Orders (IPO) have been revised to ₹10, ₹20, ₹50, and ₹100.

7. Introduction of Registered Postcard:

   • A new service called Registered Postcard has been introduced to provide additional mailing options.
