Key Points from Lok Sabha Discussion:

  1. Constitution of 7th CPC: The 7th CPC was officially constituted on 28th February 2014, not February 2013.

  2. No Proposal for 8th CPC: As of now, there is no proposal under consideration by the Government for the constitution of the 8th Central Pay Commission.

  3. Concerns About Delay: Despite concerns raised regarding rising inflation, cost of living, and employee welfare, the Government has not yet considered forming the 8th CPC.

  4. Government's Position: The Ministry of Finance has clarified that no timeline has been established for the announcement or constitution of the 8th CPC.
