Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) for GDS Posts.
The Department of Posts has outlined the Time-Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) across various categories. The TRCA structure is detailed in Directorate Order No. 17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018 and letter no. 17-2/2018-GDS dated 22.03.2019. These allowances are determined based on workload and revenue norms as per the standards set by the department.

The following minimum TRCA shall be payable to GDS

Fixation of TRCA for New GDS
- For
GDS employees engaged on or after 01.07.2018, the initial fixation
of TRCA will be carried out at the first stage of Level-1 in their
respective categories.
- This
policy ensures a structured approach to determining allowances based on
entry-level positions and duties.
Notes on TRCA Revision
The TRCA may be revised periodically, subject to government directives and based on revenue and workload assessments. Any changes will adhere to the norms prescribed by the department to ensure fair compensation for GDS posts.

providing financial stability to GDS employees while aligning with their
workload and service expectations.
