Limited Transfer Facility for GDS: November 2024 Online Transfer Cycle
The Department of Posts, under the Ministry of Communications, has announced updates regarding the GDS Limited Transfer Facility for the November 2024 Online Transfer Cycle. The notification outlines important dates and instructions for facilitating the transfer process for Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS).
Key Updates and Instructions
Portal Testing and Vacancy Updates
- The CEPT Bengaluru is tasked with testing updates and developments in the portal before it goes live across all postal circles.
- The Transfer Portal will be available for vacancy updates by divisions and units from 25th November 2024 to 30th November 2024.
- Any vacancies arising during this period due to reasons such as discharge, voluntary discharge, resignation, departmental absorption, deputation (IPPB/APS), or death (if the vacancy has not been filled within six months by next of kin) will be included in the transfer process.
Exclusions
- Vacancies already notified under the GDS Online Engagement Schedules or those unavailable due to court cases will not be considered for transfer.
Portal Availability for GDS Applications
- Following successful testing in consultation with Karnataka Circle, the portal is expected to be made available for registration and submission of online applications in the first week of December 2024.
Responsibilities of CEPT and Field Units
- CEPT Bengaluru is instructed to coordinate the testing process.
- Field units are required to update vacancies promptly within the specified timeline.
Communication and Approval
This notification has been issued with the approval of the competent authority. The GDS Unions and concerned divisions are advised to ensure compliance and facilitate smooth implementation of the transfer cycle.
