In a remarkable stride towards financial inclusion, the Department of Posts (DoP) and India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) have achieved significant milestones under the "Ek Khata Pratyek Shakha" campaign. Launched on January 29, 2024, the initiative aimed to extend banking services to the underbanked and unbanked populace by activating access points and opening at least one IPPB account per live banking touchpoint across the country.
The campaign's results, announced for the period ending September 30, 2024, highlight the collective efforts of DoP and IPPB teams to realize the Government of India’s vision of complete financial inclusion.

Impressive Activation Rates:
- 1.36 lakh access points activated, achieving an overall 84% activation rate.
- 1.45 crore new IPPB accounts opened, significantly boosting financial inclusion in remote areas.
Top Performing Circles:
- Chhattisgarh Circle: Achieved 100% access point activation, setting a benchmark for excellence.
- Circles such as Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Tamil Nadu achieved 90% activation.
- 15 Circles recorded more than 80% activation, showcasing their commitment to reaching rural communities.

- Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Indore (Madhya Pradesh), Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Bhopal HQ (Madhya Pradesh), Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Chennai City (Tamil Nadu), Circle HQ (Uttar Pradesh), and Kolkata HQ (West Bengal).
- Regions with 90% Activation:
- Shimla HQ (Himachal Pradesh), Nagpur (Maharashtra), Punjab West (Punjab), Jabalpur RO (Madhya Pradesh), Rajkot (Gujarat), Southern Region (Tamil Nadu), Pune (Maharashtra), Navi Mumbai (Maharashtra), Prayagraj (Uttar Pradesh), and Shillong HQ (North East).

- 100% Activation: Appreciation certificates signed by the IPPB MD & CEO.
- 90% Activation: Appreciation certificates issued by the IPPB CGM & CSMO.
