The Department of Posts(DOP), under the Ministry of Communications, has issued a new order revising the financial limits for the reimbursement of Briefcases, Officer Bags, and Ladies' Purses. This revision is aimed at providing updated financial allowances for various levels of officers and officials in the postal department.

Key
Points:
1.
Procurement: Entitled
officers/officials can purchase the Briefcase, Office Bag, or Ladies' Purse
from any private or public outlet of their choice. However, the reimbursement
will be limited to the revised financial ceiling mentioned above.
2. Effective Date: The order will take effect from the date of issuance, i.e., 4th September 2024.

Approval: This sanction has been
approved by the Secretary (Posts) and includes the advice of Internal
Finance/Integrated Finance conveyed vide Dy. No. 100/2024-25/FA-CS(P) dated 2nd
September 2024.
This revision marks an essential update in the allowances provided to postal officers, reflecting the ongoing efforts to ensure the welfare and efficiency of postal department personnel.
