Please refer to this directorate letter no. 17-31/2016-GDS (Financial Upgradation) dated 05.07.2024 followed by reminder dated 01.08.2024 and D.O. letter dated 20.08.2024 on the above subject.
2. In this regard, all the circles were requested to furnish the compliance report on the grant of financial upgradation to GDS for the cases maturing in January- June Cycle by 23.08.2024 (Annexure - A to letter dated 05.07.24). However, except above 7 circles, no other circles have submitted the requisite report till now. Maharashtra and West Bengal Circles have submitted an interim report.
3. It is a matter of concern that the most of the Circles have not adhered to the prescribed time schedule leading to delay in grant of financial upgradation to the GDS workforce. GDS Unions have also agitated the delay in grant of financial upgradation, further this issue will be raised in the Periodical Meeting with Service Associations/Unions scheduled first week of September. All concerned Circles are, therefore, once again requested to complete the exercise without any further delay and furnish a compliance report by gih September positively for perusal of DG PS.
