It has been tentatively decided to notify the vacancies under the GDS Online Engagement, Schedule, July-2024 in the second week of July-2024. Therefore, the following timelines have been prescribed for completing preparatory activities:
Activities and Time Schedule:
- Data entry and freezing of the vacancies by the Divisions:01.07.2024 to 06.07.2024
- Rechecking data entry:08.07.2024
- Approval by Circles after freezing the data entry by Divisions:09.07.2024 to 10.07.2024
- Issue of online notification:15.07.2024
Vacancies Calculation Guidelines:
To be Included:
- Vacancies from 01.07.2023 to 30.06.2024 due to various reasons including death, resignation, transfers, etc.
- Unfilled vacancies from Schedule-I (January-2023), Special Cycle-May-2023, and Schedule-II (July-2023) where candidates have turned up but not yet joined.
To be Excluded:
- Vacancies in "Pipeline" due to pending verification reports.
- Posts declared surplus.
- Vacancies due to the death of GDS where six months have not elapsed.
Circles are urged to adhere strictly to these timelines to facilitate a smooth process. A certificate signed by DPS (HQ) confirming completion of preparatory works and total Division-wise vacancies must be uploaded on the portal by 10.07.2024 for the final notification generation.
