In a concerted effort to accelerate progress towards the ambitious goals of the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Yojana, the Department of Posts (DoP) has launched a targeted initiative aimed at ramping up beneficiary registrations across the country.

Under the dynamic leadership of the Business Development Directorate, DoP, a comprehensive strategy has been devised to expedite the registration process for the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. With the aim of maximizing outreach and ensuring efficient utilization of resources, the Directorate has issued directives to all Head of Circles, emphasizing the urgency of the task at hand.

A recent communication dated 01st March 2024 underscores the critical importance of whitelisting the QRT Surya Ghar mobile application on India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) devices. This vital step, scheduled for implementation on 01st March 2024, signifies a pivotal milestone in streamlining the registration process and enhancing accessibility for beneficiaries.

Furthermore, enumerators equipped with IPPB devices have been mobilized to commence beneficiary registrations with immediate effect, marking the onset of an intensive drive towards achieving set targets. Recognizing the magnitude of the challenge, field staff have been enjoined to dedicate their efforts relentlessly, including weekends, until 09th March 2024, when the initial assessment of target achievement will be conducted.

In a bid to galvanize efforts and foster community engagement, Circles are encouraged to organize Melas/Camps, providing a platform to register a maximum number of beneficiaries and generate awareness about the transformative benefits of the scheme.

Despite commendable efforts thus far, the journey towards target attainment remains formidable. As of the latest update, only 1.64 lakh beneficiaries have been registered nationwide, representing a mere 1% of the allotted target. This underscores the pressing need for concerted action and underscores the imperative of redoubling efforts in the days ahead.

With unwavering commitment and collective determination, the Department of Posts remains steadfast in its resolve to surmount challenges and realize the vision of the Prime Minister's Surya Ghar Yojana. Through tireless dedication and strategic interventions, the Department is poised to scale new heights of success, bringing the promise of sustainable energy solutions to every doorstep across the length and breadth of the nation.

As the target achievement drive gains momentum, every milestone reached brings us closer to a future illuminated by the transformative power of solar energy, empowering communities and fostering inclusive growth for generations to come.
