With reference on the subject, the Hon’ble Directorate has proposed to merge SA & PA (CO/RO) with PA (PO) and draft modalities for merger of Sorting Assistant (SA) cadre and draft modalities for unification of Postal Assistant (CO/RO) cadre are given as Annexure-A & Annexure-B respectively.
As per draft modalities of both cadre, it is clear that existing SA/PA (CO/RO) either has to opt PA (PO) or remain in the existing cadre till retirement/promotion, etc. No further recruitment of SA/PA (CO/RO) will take effect in future. But it is not clarified that existing LSG/HSG officials of RMS & (CO/RO) how to merge with LSG/HSG (PO) officials and how to fix their inter-se seniority. It is also not clarified what will be strength after merger of RMS/CO/RO officials with existing PO officials.
It is also pertinent to mention here that cadre restructuring of both cadre RMS/CO/RO is not yet taken so far, resulting officials of fast track LSG LDCE passed could not be promoted to HSG-I (NFG) even after completion of 10 years service in HSG-I.
Hence, it is prayed that: -
1. Deprived HSG-I RMS officials may kindly be promoted to HSG-I (NFG) having completion of two years service in HSG-I.
2. Inter-se seniority may kindly be effected.
3. Number of posts may kindly be notified after merger. With profound regards,
