GDS Online engagement 2023 Release of List 4 - Issues Involved and Actions approved

Subject: GDS Online engagement Schedule-I January (2023) - offer of engagement withholding of Posts/Candidates-Reg.

CEPT is requested to refer to their email dated 31.05.2023 whereby approval to withheld 33 posts in c/w release of GDS Online Engagement Schedule - I before release of List-4 has been sought.

2. In this context, the matter has been examined by Competent Authority and approved the following actions:

1	Issue: Candidates selected on the wrongly notified post turned up and successfully verified. Action: Candidate would need to be offered alternative post out of his preferences in the order of merit in the subsequent list.	11
2	Issue: First candidate rejected in the verification process filed a CAT/Court case and court stayed the result of the post. Second Candidate turned up and his documents verified successfully. Action: Post to be withheld for result in the next list. The 2nd Candidate would need to be offered alternative post out of his preferences in the order of merit in the subsequent list.	7, 9, 16, 21
3	Issue: Candidate selected in the first list turned up and also joined. Due to non updation of reporting status by the EA, second candidate got selected in the list III and his documents are also verified successfully. Action: Post to be withheld for result in the next list. The 2nd Candidate would need to be offered alternative post out of his preferences in the order of merit in the subsequent list.	32
4	Issue: First candidate rejected in the verification process filed a CAT/Court case and court stayed the result of the post. Second Candidate did not turn up  Action: Post to be withheld.	14,15,20,22,23,24,25,26,27
5	Issue: There is spelling error in the name of the candidate and a VIP has requested to allow her candidature.  Action: Based on the request of the VIP, the post may not be withheld. The Department had provided error correction window.	8
6	Issue: Circle had requested to withhold the post due to errors made by them while carrying out verification of documents. But later, in the correction window the errors were updated.  Action: No action required to be taken in such cases.	1-6,18,19 and 29
7	Issue: Circle have requested to withhold the post due to errors made by them while carrying out verification of documents/non updating the reporting status. Errors were not rectified even in the correction window.  Action: Post to be withheld. CEPT to provide window for correction of the status after release of the 4th list.	28,33
8	Issue: Posts wrongly notified/surplus post notified and no candidate turned up for verification.  Action: Posts may be withheld	13 and 30
9	Issue: Data not tallied during verification/reported after last date of verification  Action: No need to withheld the posts as the action of the Authorities is as per the Notification.	10,17, 31
10	Issue: Post was wrongly notified and candidate turn up after release of 2nd list. Instructions were issued to offer the candidate alternate post in the 3rd list. Post offered to the candidate is not being shown in the ID of the Verifying authority.  Action: Technical issue. Solution to be provided by the CEPT. Post to be withheld and not to be offered to any other candidate.	12

 

3. CEPT is requested to take further action in accordance with action approved before release of the 4th list. Concerned Circles (AP, Maharashtra and Rajasthan) are requested to take suitable action in consultation with CEPT in respect of the issues pertaining to their Circles. Similar issues, if any, may be decided based on the above decision. A compliance report may be furnished accordingly.
