Sub: Clarification regarding
capturing of Volumetric Weight of international articles - reg.
This is with reference to Parcel Directorate letter of even number dated 22.04.2022 wherein Circles were requested to take suitable measures for capturing of volumetric weight of all type of parcels at the time of booking at counters as well as BNPL / BPCs.
2. A reference in this regard has
been received that volumetric weight is being charged for booking of
International articles also.
3. The matter has been examined keeping in view the regulations governing booking of International articles and it has been decided that volumetric weight will not be charged for booking of International articles.
