Subject : Installation of QR codes at PoS counter of all Head Post Offices for facilitating UPI based on-line payment
Providing functionality of on-line payment for various postal operations at PoS counters in post offices is an item under Parcel Tracker. Department has entered into an MOU with PayU for providing this functionality at post office counters. CSI has now developed this functionality for accepting UPI based on-line payment at post office counters.
2. Hon’ble MoC has desired that in the first phase, this functionality be made available at all PoS counters in all Head Post Offices by 16-04-2022.
3. Circles have already identified 1790 PoS counters in all Head Post Offices working in CSI and shared the list with PMU in Feb-March this year. Circle-wise list of number of PoS counters in Head Post Offices is at Annexure.
4 All these PoS counters in Head Post Office have to be enabled for accepting UPI based on-line payment by 16-04-2022. QR codes to be installed at all PoS counters in Head Post Offices will be shared by TCS team in batches on the official e-mail id of the respective Chief Post Masters General on 13.4.2022.
5. All Heads of Circles are requested to ensure that the images of QR codes are downloaded and pasted at PoS counters by 15-04-2022, so that this functionality is made available to the customers by 16-04-2022. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), User Manual and Standing Accounting Procedure (SAP) for this functionality, are attached herewith. Circles may contact PoS team at CEPT for assistance, if required.
6. The work of downloading and pasting QR codes at all PoS counters must be completed by 15-04-2022 without fail. A compliance report be sent to PMU/Parcel Directorate by 1100 Hrs on 16-04-2022 indicating the number of PoS counters pasted with QR codes.
