Subject: Partial withholding of the booking/collection of international mail for Australia.
The undersigned is directed to convey that after reviewing the mail transmission situation to Australia and taking note of the restricted availability of flights/transit connections and reduced space on the available flights, it has been decided that booking of Air Parcel for Australia shall be kept on hold with immediate effect till further orders.
2. Booking of EMS (International Speed Post), Letter Mail and ITPS (International Tracked Packet Service) category for Australia will remain operational as usual.
3. Circles shall bring this to the notice of all the customers. The delivery of articles may not be possible as per the delivery standards mentioned in Citizen's Charter of India Post or the standards agreed and published otherwise due to the limited capacities available as a result of ongoing ban on scheduled commercial flights due to Covid pandemic.
