As Circles are aware, Postal Life Insurance was introduced on 1st February 1884 as a scheme of State Insurance for the benefit of Postal employees. Accordingly, 1st February is celebrated as PLI day across the country.
To ce1ebrate 139th PLI Day, you are requester to organize fo11owing events in your Circle on 01.02.2022 (Tuesday) for promotion of Postal Life Insurance (PLI)
(i). PLI Melas at Circle/Region/ Division/Sub-Division level.
ii) Training programs for GDS/Departmental sales force.
iii) Special claim settlement drives to bring down the pendency.
Premium underwritten by all Circles upto December 2021 (as per e-lekha figures) is enclosed for your kind information. Proportionate Premium Income achievement for the period April 2021 to December 2021 is 85.96% in PLI and 86.35% in RPLI. You are, therefore, requested to direct your field units to achieve the target allotted to your Circle. Further, correctness of premium booking in appropriate head of account may also be ensured, so that the PLI / RPLI premium income achievement of your Circle is correctly reflected in e-lekha.
