Periodicity for reassessing the reasonable rent of private buildings taken on lease by the DOP

Postal Service board has now decided that in respect of private buildings , taken on lease in any place in India, the following conditions will apply:

1. Revision of rent shall be allowed only once in five years. such revision shall, however be undertaken by the department only on receipt of a written request for the same from the landlord concerned

2. The date of receipt of a request from landlord for the revision of rent or the date from which such revision is due i.e after 5 years, whichever is later will be the date from which the revision is to be allowed
