Withdrawal of wrongly credited to amount of Social Security Pension amount wrong from the POSB account of wrong recipient and credit (restoring) it to the POSB account of actual pension beneficiary.
This is regarding cases of erroneous updation of POSB account number of social security pension beneficiary in www.karnatakapost.gov.in which resulted in wrong credit of social security pension amount to the POSB account of other than the pensioners. Now, the Divisions are identifying such cases and the necessity has arisen to get the amount recovered from the wrong recipient and restore it to the POSB account of actual pension beneficiary.
The following action may be taken to settle the grievances of the actual beneficiary.
1. Postmaster / Sub-Postmaster will submit a detailed report to Divisional Head giving the details
1) Details of Social Security Pensioner as per www.karnatakapost.gov.in
2) POSB account No. erroneously mapped to the SSP ID (social security pension id)
3) Copy of the ledger card generated for the period from 1-4-2021.
4) POSB account of actual payee
5) Copy of electronic ledger card generated for the period from 1-4- 2021.
6) copy of the consent obtained from the social security pension beneficiary
2. On receipt of the report, the Divisional Head will process the details to see the correctness of the payee to be updated now. The details of the correct POSB account mapped against the social security pensioner in excel format may be communicated to Director of Social Security Pensions, V Floor, Kannada Bhavan, Bengaluru 560 009 with email to dd.dssp@karnataka.gov.in. k2.support12@karnataka.gov.in with a copy to circle office fs.kar@indiapost.gov.in under intimation to the concerned Region.
3. The details of DBT credited in respect of each social security pensioner since April- 2021 can be verified online by logging on
to https://k2.karnataka.gov.in/wps/portal/Khajane-II/Scope/Remittance/SSPPortal2. The details of payments made will be available in the portal which may be compared with the credits in the POSB account of wrong recipient. The amount withdrawn will have to be restored to the POSB account of correct payee.
4. Divisional Head may issue necessary sanction order as per the provision of Rule —21 of GSPR 2018 dealing with “Recovery of excess amount paid” for the Postmaster of Head Post Office of the SOL ID where the account stands ordering the withdrawal from the POSB account of wrong recipient and credit/ deposit the same into the POSB account of correct payee. In case funds are not available in the POSB account of wrong recipient the matter may be pursued with the depositor to credit the amount back to facilitate post office to get the amount credited to the POSB account of actual social security pensioner.
5. Postmaster of the Head Post Office of the concerned SOLID on receipt of sanction order from the head of the division will use CXFER menu in finacle CBS
