The Limited Competitive Examination (LCE) from Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDSs) for recruitment to the cadre of Postal Assistants/Sorting Assistants in Divisions/Units for unfilled vacancies of LDCE meant for Postman/Mail Guard/Despatch Rider/MTS for the vacancy year 2021 (01.01.2021 to 31.12.2021) was held on 24.10.2021. The list of provisionally qualified candidates (GDS) shortlisted to appear in Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) scheduled to be held on 05.12.2021 (Sunday) is enclosed as Annexure-I.
In this office letter of even number dated 23.11.2021 intimation was given for holding DEST on 05.12.2021(Sunday) in Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Sambalpur centres. In addition to the above, following information were also shared for wide circulation among the candidates and the same is reproduced below for circulation once again.
“In pursuance of Directorate letter No.17-08/2018-SPN-I dated 09.11.2021, the Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) standard for promotion to PA/SA has been revised from 600 key depressions to 800 key depressions (5%). Similarly, communities wise qualifying marks for different categories is General-60%, OBC/EWS-60%, SC/ST-50%, PWD-50%. Those qualifying
in Paper-II and III will be selected for appointment as PA/SA strictly on merit decided on marks scored in Paper-I only. test User can be
One functional prototype pre-revised 600 Key depression (+5%) of the application developed by CEPT for conducting Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) upto 2020 containing five dummy papers and Manual also accessed with link
(http://cept.gov.in/exam.html). The dummy test is open for all eligible candidates. The same may be circulated among all candidates in your divisions to enable them to familiarize themselves before DEST with revised standard of 800 key depressions (+5%).
