The doctors, nurses, healthcare workers, etc. form an essential part of effective response team against the pandemic. These frontline workers have been experiencing high work volume, personal risk and societal pressure to meet extraordinary demands for healthcare and have been suitably identified by GOI as Covid Warriors i. e. frontline healthcare employees". (Tentative list of COVID Warriors placed as Annexure-I as per GOI website https://covidwarriors.gov.in/).
1. In view of the above, it has been approved by the Competent Authority to offer an additional concession of 50 bps in rate of interest under Car Loan and Two-wheeler Loan sanctioned to Covid Warriors through branches up to 31st March 2022. The concessional ROI will be applicable from the date of issuance of circular instructions till 31st March 2022. New sub-product codes have been created in CBS/ LOS for automatically providing concessions to the COVID warriors through LOS and for generating MIS accordingly.
2. Operating units are advised to mandatorily obtain the Employee ID/ documentary proof substantiating that the customer is a Covid warrior, and to keep the proof along with other loan documents before extending the special concession.
3. Approved concession of 50 bps for Covid Warriors will be over and above existing concessions, if any, under the product. However, it should be ensured that the effective interest rate should not fall below MCLR of respective loan period in any case, post the said concession
